Organizing Fabric and Patterns
It's that time of year
again when we start organizing and de-clutterizing.
Try this handy idea by using a dresser
when cleaning up your craft room to get your patterns and
fabrics organized.
You don't have spend a lot of money. Find a
dresser from your local Goodwill or garage sales. It's Ugly?
Well, that's o.k. Spruce it up with a coordinating paint color
that's in your craft room and change out the knobs.
By using the dresser, you can store your
fabrics and patterns vertically in the drawers to get them
organized. Save so much time finding them!
You will want to use cardboard to wrap your
fabrics around and neatly slide them in side by side. You can
organize by colors or patterns. Check your drawer depth to
decide how wide to make your cardboard cutouts.
Use this same Idea with your patterns. You
can organize them vertically alphabetically or use color coded
tape strips on the side of the pattern package to organize by
type.( i.e. blue tape: Dolls, yellow tape: clothing )
This is a great start to get your sewing room
clutter free.
